Creating a Character
5 Step Process

STEP 1 - Write your Ability Scores in column S, off to the right side. You won't have to look over there very often. Your WORKING ABILITY SCORES are the ones at the top left side.

Set it and forget it.

STEP 2 - Pick your Class from the drop-down menu.
Ability scores determine available classes, so mess around and see what options pop up.

Write in your Level (probably 1).

Pick an Alignment.

A lot of info will appear automatically. No need to look anything up!

STEP 3 - Enter your vital statistics on the Back Page. Birthday, age, height, weight, sex, former profession, human subtype, etc.

Many of them are randomly generated off to the side in column N. No need to look anything up.

STEP 4 - Buy weapons & equipment. Roll 3d8*10 for starting wealth. A price list is here, and all of these items are in the drop-down menus in the inventory section (see below).

STEP 5 - Maintenance - When you gain a level, go back over to column S and enter the hit points you rolled in the appropriate box. Everything else should be automatic!

***** Weapons *****

Melee Weapons - Pick your weapon from the drop-down menu, all details are filled in automatically, unless your weapon has magical bonuses (that's what those blue & red '+' columns are for).

Ranged Weapons - Pick your weapon from the menu. Damage, range increments, ammunition types and everything appears for you. All you have to do is write in the amount of ammunition you're carrying under Ammo, and everything is calculated for you.

Armour - Pick your armour type, shield and helmet from the drop-down menus and add any magical bonuses.

***** Inventory *****

The spreadsheet automatically adds up all your carried items.

Money - This is cash that you are carrying around. Stored wealth is listed on the Back Page

Equipment - Standard book equipment, pick from the drop-down menu. Auto-filling.
Equipment - Multiple Items - For things like torches, rations & potions. Auto-filling.
Equipment - Write In - For the weird stuff you find that needs a bigger description. You'll have to fill in equipment weights here yourself.

**** Fun Things To Do ****

Temporary Modifiers - Write in buff spells, curses, ability score changes, or whatever other effects might change your stats. A few common spells effects have been provided in the drop-down menu for your convenience.

Light Sources - torches, candles, magic spells, whatever. It's all here with the duration and area of effect.

***** Back Page *****

Vital Statistics - This stuff might be relevant in the future, so don't skip it!!

Night Wolf Inn Guild Rank - enter your rank here (probably 1). Your title will appear, and bonuses (like +1 AC for the guild tattoo) are automatically applied.

Fear Pts - keep track of your total here. If you don't know how many you have - ask me.

Wealth - down at the bottom is a section for stored money and a huge NOTES section. There are no formulas or important cells below this, so you can use more lines if you want.

***** Magic *****

Based on your class, level and ability scores, the spreadsheet will tell you how many spells/day you get.

Write down the spells you've memorized, and cross them off as you use them.

Magic-Users can also keep track of "spells known." The colour of the boxes will change as you learn more spells: Pale orange when you haven't reached your minimum, pale green between minimum & maximum, bright green when you have maxed out your spells known, or bright red if you went too high!
